Origins
Forest Heart Botanicals comes from a fierce love of nature. For as long as Larkin (herbalist) can remember, he's yearned to immerse his body directly in the natural world. He wants to bring what he's learned in this journey forward to share with you.
For the past 20 years he’s spent much of his time focused on wild edible plants, organic farming and wilderness living skills such as hide tanning. He’s been intently focused on medicinal plants for the past 8 years, studying precise techniques for quality medicine-making, and advanced clinical herbalism (anatomy & physiology, the pathphysiology of disease, herb-drug interactions and much more) at the Wild Seed School of Herbal Studies on Salt Spring Island, BC, where he now lives. He brings a wealth of knowledge to his herbal practice, including a background in counselling skills and a passion for mental health. He approaches his work politically from a radical perspective.
